What moves the day count
The rate follows the machine rather than the size of the stem, which catches people out: the dedicated mulcher costs more than the excavator even though the excavator takes bigger timber and pulls roots. Transport is the cost of getting the bigger two machines to you and is separate from hauling material away, which is quoted per job.

Baker County rules apply in the unincorporated county. If your boundary runs into federal ground, there is a second conversation to have and it is not with us.
What is protected depends on the species and the size of the trunk, and whether the parcel is a single family homesite, working timber or land being developed. Where private ground meets federal timber, work on or near that line is a question for the agency that manages it, and we would want to see that settled in writing before we book anything.
Tell us what you want gone and what you want kept when you send photographs, and tell us where your line actually runs. We are a clearing contractor, not a surveyor and not a fire authority, and on a boundary parcel both of those matter more than usual.

Up to your line, once you are certain where your line is. Work on or near federal ground is a separate permission and not one we can obtain for you. Get it settled first and we will cut to it.

It stays on the ground as mulch, spread as the machine goes. Nothing piled and nothing burned, which next to standing timber is the entire argument for doing it this way.
Do I need a permit?
It depends on the species and size of what is standing, whether the ground counts as working timber, and whether any of the work is near a federal boundary. Confirm with the right office rather than taking a contractor word for it, ours included.
Are you licensed and insured?
Insured, and we send the certificate before the machine moves. Florida does not issue a contractor licence for forestry mulching, so nobody holds one. Insurance is the document worth asking every contractor to produce.
