We sell machine days, not acres, and we publish the rates. What moves the day count
The rate follows the machine rather than the size of the stem, which catches people out: the dedicated mulcher costs more than the excavator even though the excavator takes bigger timber and pulls roots. Transport is the cost of getting the bigger two machines to you and is separate from hauling material away, which is quoted per job.

Read the first two rows together. Four times the ground, a cheaper machine, the same single day. A quarter acre lot that has stood untouched for decades can carry heavier timber than an acre of open pasture, and the machine follows what is standing rather than what the plat says. Marion County rules apply on this ground, which sits in the unincorporated county, and land being developed is treated differently from an established homesite.
What is protected depends on the species and the size of the trunk, and whether the lot is a single family homesite or land being developed. Mature live oaks attract more attention than understory growth, and a lot that has stood empty for decades may well have a few on it.

I have never seen my lot. Can you still quote?
Yes. Send us the lot number and whatever imagery you can get and we will tell you what we can see. We would rather say the quote is provisional and confirm on the day than pretend otherwise.
Can you do two or three lots in one visit?
Yes, and on a grid like this one it is the cheapest way to buy a day. The machine is already on the street and the transport is already paid.
What happens to everything you cut?
It stays on the ground as mulch, spread as the machine goes. Nothing piled, nothing burned, nothing hauled out past the neighbours.
Do I need a permit?
It depends on the species and size of what is standing. This ground sits in the unincorporated county, so the county is who to ask. Confirm with them rather than taking a contractor word for it, ours included.
Are you licensed and insured?
Insured, and we send the certificate before the machine moves. Florida does not issue a contractor licence for forestry mulching, so nobody holds one. Insurance is the document worth asking every contractor to produce.
